Welcome to the Boneo Fire Brigade
Boneo Fire Brigade is over 70 years old and is located at the corner of Boneo Road and Browns Road in Boneo at the southern end of the Mornington Peninsula.
Our members are all Volunteers carrying pagers 24 hours a day, and we attend incidents in the Boneo, Fingal & Cape Schanck area, as well as assisting our neighbouring CFA Brigades in Rosebud, Rye, Main Ridge & Flinders.
Remember, it's not just bush fires... we also attend house and car fires, occasional searches for missing people using our Thermal Imaging Camera, and yes it's true we might even be called to rescue a pet cat trapped in a tree. We usually attend just under 100 incidents each year, sometimes more, sometimes less... keep an eye on the Incident Counter at the front door!
We have both fully trained active Firefighters, and also Broader Base Members who support the running of the brigade and fundraising. We also have a vibrant Junior Volunteer Development Programme for 11 to 15 year olds.
We operate two Tankers; one which is CFA owned and our own "Tanker 2" which is funded by the community... for which we are currently fund raising for a replacement, so look out for our tin rattle at the monthly Boneo Market.
Please feel free to drop by to talk to us on Sunday mornings, when you'll find us working around the Fire Station and on the Trucks. We're very much part of this rural community, so if nothing else, just give us a wave as you pass by!
